Free Measles Vaccinations Available in Lima Norte Malls and Parks This June

Peru's Ministry of Health (Minsa), through the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks (Diris) Lima Norte, is conducting a free measles vaccination campaign throughout June. The initiative brings immunization services directly to high-traffic shopping centers and parks in Lima Norte districts, including San Martín de Porres, Independencia, Comas, and Carabayllo.

This strategy aims to increase accessibility to vaccines, particularly for children and vulnerable groups, thereby reducing the risk of serious complications from measles. Specialized brigades are deployed to administer doses and provide guidance on vaccination schedules.

Key vaccination sites include Real Plaza Pro in San Martín de Porres and Mega Plaza in Independencia, operating daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Plaza Norte offers vaccinations on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On weekends, the Sinchi Roca park in Comas and Manco Cápac park in Carabayllo also host vaccination brigades from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

To receive the vaccine, individuals only need to present their national identity document (DNI) or the child's ID. Minsa emphasizes that measles is a preventable disease and urges parents and caregivers to check their children's vaccination records and complete any pending doses at the available campaign points.
