French cinema attendance surges in July

French cinemas experienced a significant surge in attendance during July, marking a robust increase of 22.6% compared to the same month in 2025. This impressive rise in ticket sales was driven by a strong lineup of popular films that captured audiences' attention.

Among the top draws were historical dramas, animated features, and family-friendly adventures. "De Gaulle," a biographical film, alongside animated hits like "Toy Story," "Minions," and "Moana," drew large crowds. The French production "L’Odyssée" also proved to be a major success, contributing substantially to the overall increase in viewership.

According to the CNC (Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée), the number of spectators in theaters reached a notable high, reflecting a strong public appetite for the cinematic experience.
