Fuel Pass Woes: Greeks Struggle with Application Glitches

The Fuel Pass subsidy program, intended to ease the burden of rising fuel costs for Greek citizens, has unfortunately become a source of significant frustration. Reports from across the country highlight a common theme: the digital platform designed to facilitate applications is proving to be a major hurdle. Many eligible recipients are encountering persistent technical glitches, from their vehicles not being recognized by the system to errors in personal data verification through the National Communication Registry (EMEp).

This situation is particularly galling for those who meet all the criteria but are still being rejected without clear explanation. The platform's instability, attributed to high traffic, is leaving thousands of citizens in limbo, with many being redirected to Citizen Service Centers (KEP) without a resolution.
