Fulani Chiefs Hail Tinubu, Makinde, Security Agencies Over Rescue of Abducted Schoolchildren

The Council of Fulani Chiefs in Southwest Nigeria has commended President Bola Tinubu, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, and various security agencies for their role in the successful rescue of schoolchildren and teachers. The victims were abducted in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Led by its Chairman and Sarki Fulani of Lagos, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Bambado II, the council expressed profound joy over the safe return of all abducted individuals. They described the rescue operation as a clear demonstration of the commitment and effective coordination within Nigeria's security architecture. The council's Media Office issued a statement praising the security agencies for their professionalism, resilience, and dedication, which ensured the victims were brought back without any loss of life.

The council stated that the successful operation reflects the concerted efforts of both the Federal Government and the Oyo State Government in prioritizing the protection of citizens' lives and welfare. They urged all Nigerians, particularly residents of the South-West, to actively promote peace, unity, and mutual understanding. The statement also called for a rejection of ethnic profiling, division, and all forms of criminality, emphasizing a collective responsibility to build a safer and more prosperous Nigeria.
