G-Dragon's Agency Secures Fines Against Malicious Commenters

Several individuals accused of posting malicious comments and spreading false information about K-pop star G-Dragon have been handed summary indictments with fines, according to his agency, Galaxy Corporation. The agency stated it is continuing legal action to protect the singer's reputation and rights against online defamation, false rumors, insults, and privacy violations.

Galaxy Corporation filed complaints in February against over 100 individuals for allegedly creating or distributing malicious content. The agency reported that numerous cases are currently being processed by investigative agencies and courts. Some of these cases have resulted in the defendants being sent to prosecutors or facing criminal trials due to the recognition of their offenses.

G-Dragon's honor and rights are being protected through continuous legal action against various illegal activities online, including defamation, dissemination of false information, insults, malicious slander, and infringement of personal rights and privacy.

Among the legal outcomes, some defendants have been ordered by the court to pay fines ranging from 2 million to 7 million Korean won (approximately $1,450 to $5,000 USD). The agency emphasized that even when using anonymous accounts, perpetrators can be identified through investigative tracking and face actual criminal punishment.

This action underscores the agency's commitment to combating online harassment and maintaining a safe digital environment for its artists. The legal proceedings aim to deter future malicious online behavior and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
