G100 Opposition Unity Push Was Dead on Arrival, APC and Keyamo Say

Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress has dismissed the opposition’s latest attempt at unity as “dead on arrival,” arguing that the effort only exposed its political weakness.

The criticism targeted a recently concluded summit convened by G100, a political pressure group. The APC said the gathering was a doomed venture rather than a credible path toward cooperation among opposition parties.

According to the party, the summit confirmed the opposition camp’s anxiety over an impending defeat in Nigeria’s 2027 general election. APC National Chairman Prof. Abdullahi Ganduje was among those reacting to the meeting, alongside party figures including Keyamo.

The ruling party’s response frames the summit as evidence of division and concern within the opposition, rather than as a meaningful challenge to the APC.
