GAF warns applicants against recruitment fraudsters

The Ghana Armed Forces has issued a warning to people seeking military recruitment: anyone offering to secure enlistment for a fee is acting without authorization.

The warning covers the 2026 enlistment exercise for commissioned officers. The GAF said it had not appointed any individual or group to recruit on its behalf, would not use middlemen and would charge no fees beyond the official application cost.

Application vouchers will go on sale at designated Ghana Post offices nationwide on Thursday, September 3, for GH₵200. The official online portal will open the following day, allowing applicants to complete the process. Completed forms must be submitted by Wednesday, September 23.

The GAF urged applicants to rely only on its official social media platforms and the designated telephone and WhatsApp contacts for information. It also asked the public to report suspected recruitment fraud through those channels. Applicants were advised to follow the official procedures, avoid unauthorized payments and protect their personal information.
