Gamuda Secures RM1.71 Billion Contract for Large-Scale Data Center in Port Dickson

Gamuda Berhad, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Gamuda Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (GESB), has secured a substantial RM1.71 billion contract for the construction of a large-scale data center in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

The contract, awarded by an unnamed U.S.-based multinational technology company on August 5, 2026, is for a build-only project. It encompasses the construction of a single-story, large-scale data center facility, including site infrastructure, main structure, building construction, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works.

Construction is slated to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2028. Gamuda projects that this development will contribute positively to the group's earnings for the financial year ending July 31, 2027, through to the project's completion.

Gamuda acknowledged potential construction risks, such as fluctuations in building material prices, but expressed confidence in its ability to manage these effectively due to its extensive experience in large-scale construction projects. The company also confirmed that no directors, major shareholders, or their associates have any direct or indirect interest in this project.
