Gang arrested for nighttime attack and motorcycle theft in An Giang

Authorities in An Giang province, Vietnam, have arrested three individuals in connection with a nighttime robbery where a man was attacked and his motorcycle stolen. The suspects, identified as Nguyễn Thanh Nam, 29, Trần Văn Dương Thanh, 29, and Nguyễn Thị Thúy Duyên, 20, have been taken into custody for investigation.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on July 5. The victim, identified as V.Đ.G., 48, was resting by the roadside in a deserted area of Nhơn Hội commune when he was suddenly attacked by a group of assailants wielding knives. He sustained injuries to his head and abdomen.

Fearing for his life, Mr. G. abandoned his motorcycle and fled. Upon returning later, he discovered his vehicle was gone. Having lost a significant amount of blood, he lost consciousness and was subsequently transported to the An Giang Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Following the report, local police initiated an investigation, recognizing the serious nature of the crime. Their efforts led to the identification and arrest of the three suspects. During questioning, the accused admitted to using weapons to injure Mr. G. and steal his property under the cover of darkness. The investigation is ongoing to clarify the details and bring the perpetrators to justice.
