Gas tanker fire averted in Lagos

A gas-laden tanker erupted in flames early Thursday along Abaranje Road in Lagos State, Nigeria. Emergency services swiftly responded to the incident at Ola Farm Bus Stop, successfully containing the fire and averting a potential disaster. No lives were lost, and no injuries were reported.

According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), preliminary investigations suggest the tanker was speeding when it hit a road bump. This incident follows a recent fire in Ketu-Ikosi, Lagos, caused by an electrical surge, which led to two firefighters collapsing.
