In the men's final, France's Arthur Fils claimed his first Masters 1000 title by overpowering American Frances Tiafoe 6-3, 1-6, 6-0. Fils, at 22, is now the youngest French champion in Masters 1000 history, a title he earned after a challenging year including a hip injury that caused him to miss the French Open.

Gauff's path to the final included a semifinal win over Sara Bejlek, while Pegula advanced by defeating defending champion Iga Swiatek.
