Gbenga Hashim Camp Rejects Osun Governor's Tinubu Endorsement

The Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement (GHSM) has vehemently dismissed an alleged endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election. The endorsement, reportedly made by Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke and Accord Party officials at the Osun State Government House, was labeled an "illegal, politically contrived and inconsequential gathering" by GHSM.

In a statement, GHSM's National Coordinator asserted that such meetings held no constitutional standing and could not supersede the will of Accord Party members. The movement insisted that Dr. Gbenga Hashim holds the party's presidential mandate, secured through a nationwide direct primary on May 30, 2026, in compliance with electoral laws. GHSM accused Governor Adeleke of engaging in anti-party activities, alleging the misuse of state resources to "hijack" the Accord Party and subordinate its presidential ambitions. The movement stressed that Nigerians would not accept a one-party state or an imposed presidential candidate through "political intimidation and institutional manipulation." Accord, they maintained, belongs to its members, not politicians seeking "temporary political advantage."

The movement expressed confidence in Dr. Hashim's victory in 2027, positioning him as a "credible and unifying alternative." GHSM also highlighted that the dispute over the Accord Party's presidential nomination is currently before the Federal High Court in Abuja, with judgment pending. They cautioned against pronouncements on matters sub judice, reaffirming their commitment to pursuing the case through all judicial processes.
