Gere's son and Crawford's daughter working together after parents divorced

More than three decades after their parents' divorce, Homer Gere and Kaia Gerber are forging their own connection in Hollywood. The children of actors Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford, respectively, are now co-stars in the FX series "The Shards." Speaking at the show's premiere in New York City, both Gere and Gerber shared their thoughts on their unexpected collaboration.

Gere, the 26-year-old son of Richard Gere and Carey Lowell, described their initial meeting. "We hadn't met before shooting. Gerber, 24, daughter of supermodel Crawford and Rande Gerber, playfully feigned ignorance when asked about any prior connection due to their parents' history, joking, "What connection?"

Gerber expressed her enjoyment of working with Gere, calling him "so funny" and "the greatest scene partner ever." For Gere, "The Shards" marks his second major acting role after "Euphoria." He revealed that he still relies on his father for guidance in navigating his acting career. "It's not like I'm sending him a scene and being like ‘How would you do this?’ It's more like how do you carry yourself on set, how do you make this career work for you in a way that is beneficial and do your best work," he explained to E! News. "I call him almost every day when I'm on set, he's really the most invaluable resource... So, it's really special to have him in my corner."
