Germany: Heatwave and thunderstorms to affect Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland

Monday is expected to start sunny before clouds gather in the afternoon and evening, bringing thunderstorms, heavy rain, hail, and strong wind gusts. The night into Tuesday will offer little relief, with temperatures remaining high, especially in urban areas. Thunderstorms may continue intermittently on Tuesday, with daytime temperatures ranging from 31 to 36 degrees Celsius.

While Wednesday is predicted to be mostly dry with isolated showers in the afternoon, the heat will persist, reaching up to 34 degrees Celsius. A slight cooling is expected by Thursday night, with temperatures dropping to between 13 and 18 degrees Celsius. The fluctuating weather patterns highlight a period of significant temperature variation and potential for hazardous conditions across the region.
