Get Ready for the Hello Kitty Race in Mexico City

Mexico City's streets will fill with runners in pink outfits when the Hello Kitty race takes over Paseo de la Reforma on Sunday, October 18. Sanrio fans can choose between a 3K walk, a 5K race and a 10K race.

The event is designed to include different levels of participants. The 3K and 5K have no age restrictions, while runners in the 10K must be at least 14 years old. Start times are scheduled for 6:30 a.m. for the 5K and 10K, and 7 a.m. for the 3K walk.

This is not simply a run to the finish line. Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters will cheer participants along the route, which will also feature decorated areas for photographs. The complete route has not yet been announced.

Registration fees are 550 pesos for the 3K and 700 pesos for both the 5K and 10K. Each participant will receive a race kit with an official number, commemorative shirt and bag, water and isotonic drinks along the route and at the finish, a participation medal, medical and security services, and access to cloakroom and restroom facilities.

Online registration through Fhinix Sports remains open until Friday, October 16, at 4 p.m., although service charges may apply. In-person registration is available at Metta Running House Polanco and Metta Running House Condesa.
