Ghana's Tourism Minister urges Africa World Airlines to promote domestic attractions

Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Ghana's Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, has called on Africa World Airlines (AWA) to play a more active role in promoting domestic tourism.

The minister urged the airline to incorporate information about Ghana's diverse tourist attractions into its passenger experience. She specifically encouraged AWA to highlight popular destinations like the Boabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary, Tano Boase, and the Kintampo Waterfalls through in-flight announcements and other passenger-facing materials.

Gomashie also expressed approval of AWA's proposed new E190 aircraft branding, which features Ghana's national colors of red, gold, and green. She views this as a significant opportunity to showcase Ghana's rich cultural identity and its tourism potential to travelers across Africa and beyond.

This initiative aims to position AWA as a "flying ambassador" for Ghana, fostering stronger collaboration between the aviation sector and the tourism industry to boost the country's appeal to both domestic and international visitors.
