Ghanaian MP Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings Nominated as Environment Minister

Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings, the Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, has been nominated for appointment as Minister of Environment, Science, and Technology. This nomination marks a significant move within President John Dramani Mahama's administration.

Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, has also received a nomination for the position of Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs. These appointments are part of a broader cabinet reshuffle announced by the presidency.

In addition to these new nominations, President Mahama has reassigned several officials. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei has moved from the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Water Resources to the Ministry of Defence. Ahmed Ibrahim has also been reassigned from the Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs Ministry to the Ministry of Works, Housing, and Water Resources, and subsequently to the Ministry of Defence.

The announcements were made in a statement issued Friday afternoon by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Spokesperson to the President, who also serves as Minister of State in charge of Government Communications.
