Gia Dinh Hospital brings special Children's Day joy to young patients

Gia Dinh People's Hospital in Vietnam hosted a special event on May 29 to bring joy and comfort to children undergoing treatment in its pediatric ward. The program featured a variety of engaging activities, including pottery painting, a musical performance, and opportunities for the young patients to interact with hospital staff and singer JSol.

This annual event is organized by the hospital to support the well-being of its young patients, with a particular focus on those facing difficult circumstances. The initiative aims not only to provide moments of happiness but also to strengthen the resolve of the children and their families as they navigate their health challenges.

Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, a parent accompanying her son at the hospital, expressed her gratitude for the event, calling it very meaningful for both parents and children. "Because of their circumstances, instead of playing with their parents outside, the children get to participate in meaningful activities at the hospital," she said. "Receiving such attention from the hospital provides comfort to parents and patients during their treatment."

Dr. Pham Thi Hoang Anh, Deputy Head of the Pediatric Department at Gia Dinh People's Hospital, shared that the hospital frequently admits children from challenging backgrounds, including those from rural areas or orphans. Beyond medical care, the hospital prioritizes the children's mental health, their ability to undergo treatment, and the caregivers' capacity to provide support. To this end, the hospital actively seeks additional funding for medical expenses and health insurance. The program's overarching goal is to instill joy and mental fortitude in the young patients while promoting a message of solidarity, sharing, and comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
