Give Johan As’ari a chance, he's a talented actor - Fasha Sandha

Actress Fasha Sandha has stepped in to defend her co-star, Johan As’ari, whose casting in the drama "Kasih Yang Terkorban" has drawn criticism. Sandha urged viewers to give As’ari an opportunity, describing him as a highly talented actor who has given his best performance.

"Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it. Just please give my hero (Johan) a chance. He is very talented and has given his best," Sandha wrote in response to a Threads user. She clarified that As’ari was the choice of the producers, director, and television station, and that his role as Johari was secured through hard work and divine providence.

Sandha drew a parallel to her previous co-star in the drama "Doa Yang Terlindung," Firdaus Karim, who also faced initial backlash but eventually earned praise for his talent and appearance. "Before, the character of Ustaz Irfan was also criticized, but eventually, he was loved for his talent and charming looks. Now it's my hero Johan," she said.

As the female lead, Sandha stated her commitment to supporting her co-star, having witnessed their dedication firsthand. "As the heroine, I will definitely defend my hero because I am a witness that they have done their best, arrived early, read the script, were always prepared, and put in hard work to bring the script to life," she added.

Acknowledging her own imperfections as an actress, Sandha expressed hope that fans would remain open-minded and supportive of the efforts of all her co-stars.
