GKL Donates 30 Million Won for Flood Recovery in Geoje and Tongyeong

Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), the operator of the Seven Luck casino, has stepped forward to assist communities devastated by recent heavy rainfall. The company announced on August 26th that it has donated 30 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to aid in the recovery of Geoje and Tongyeong in the Gyeongsangnam-do province.

The decision, made during a Social Value Committee meeting, directs the funds towards crucial support for residents impacted by the floods. This includes providing emergency relief supplies and assisting with the restoration of damaged homes, aiming to help the affected communities regain a sense of normalcy.

This contribution is part of GKL's ongoing commitment to social responsibility and disaster relief. The company has a track record of supporting those affected by natural calamities. Last year, GKL and its foundation contributed a total of 160 million won for flood and wildfire recovery efforts in the Yeongnam region. Additionally, the company recently donated 20 million won to the Korean Red Cross for earthquake relief in Venezuela.

Yun Du-hyeon, President of GKL, expressed his deep sympathy for the neighbors facing hardship due to the sudden downpour. "We offer our deepest condolences to our neighbors who are experiencing difficulties due to the sudden heavy rainfall," Yun stated. "We hope for the swift recovery of the affected areas and the restoration of daily life for the residents."
