Malaysian discus thrower Muhammad Irfan Shamsuddin views the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games as a crucial test for his medal ambitions at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games this September. The discus final is scheduled for this evening, and it will serve as a significant platform for Irfan to showcase his potential ahead of his quest for a medal in Japan.

The 30-year-old athlete enters this competition with heightened confidence following his recent achievement in Hungary last month.
