Godină's ironic message to fans of Călin Georgescu asking about his post-police income

Former police officer Marian Godină has issued an ironic response to supporters of Călin Georgescu who questioned his future financial stability after his resignation from the police force. Godină, who served for nearly two decades, stated he has multiple projects lined up and is not concerned about his financial future.

"The same people who have criticized me for years... are now accusingly asking me how I make a living," Godină wrote on Facebook. He revealed plans to become a marketing director for a company, prepare a new national stand-up comedy tour, and work on a new book. He also mentioned ongoing collaborations, a Patreon channel with over 1,200 subscribers, and potential future content for his YouTube channel.

Godină's message took a pointedly ironic turn as he addressed those questioning his income. "So, as you can see, I am doing very well, I have a living to make, and I'm telling you what it is, unlike your idol, whom you don't ask anything," he stated. He further drew a parallel, adding, "And, unlike him, I am also a president. Unelected, but president," a clear jab at Georgescu, who was a presidential candidate in 2024.

Godină announced his resignation from the Romanian Police on August 20, citing a desire to focus on writing, personal projects, and family. Despite having about 14 years left until retirement, he felt compelled to pursue new avenues. He reflected on his 20 years in the force, stating the experiences shaped him and provided material for his books and stories, acknowledging that his police career will remain a significant part of his life as he embarks on this new chapter.
