Golfer Jesslyn Wijaya Reportedly Kidnapped in Jakarta; Police Investigating

Golfer Jesslyn Wijaya is reportedly the victim of an alleged kidnapping that occurred at a restaurant in the Mangga Besar area of Central Jakarta. The incident, which took place on Monday, July 13, 2026, was officially reported to the Central Jakarta Police on Thursday, July 16.

According to the police report, the alleged abduction occurred around 7:50 PM when an unknown group of individuals approached Wijaya at the restaurant. She was then reportedly forced into a black car by five men.

Attempts by the victim's friends and the report's complainant to contact Wijaya via WhatsApp and phone calls went unanswered. A visit to her residence also confirmed her absence, leading to the suspicion that she was abducted or unlawfully deprived of her liberty.

AKBP Roby Hery Saputra, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Central Jakarta Police, confirmed the report and stated that the police are actively investigating the matter. "We are currently conducting an in-depth investigation to uncover the facts," Saputra told reporters on Monday, July 20, 2026.
