Gradual rise in temperatures across Egypt on Sunday

Egypt is bracing for a continued gradual increase in temperatures across most regions on Sunday, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA). While nights and early mornings are expected to remain mild nationwide, daytime conditions will vary significantly across the country.

The northern coast will experience slightly hot weather, whereas Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt are forecast to be hot. Southern Egypt, however, is expected to face very hot conditions. Specifically, Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt could see highs of 34 degrees Celsius and lows of 21 degrees Celsius. The northern coast will experience highs around 27 degrees Celsius and lows of 18 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures in northern Upper Egypt are projected to range between 22 and 39 degrees Celsius. Southern Upper Egypt is anticipated to record the highest temperatures, reaching up to 39 degrees Celsius, with lows of 25 degrees Celsius.

The EMA also predicted a slight possibility of light rain at intervals along parts of the northwestern coast and northern Lower Egypt. Wind activity is expected across most of the country, with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Satellite imagery suggests the potential for low clouds over scattered areas in southern Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities, possibly bringing insignificant drizzle. Citizens are urged to stay informed about weather updates and exercise caution, particularly when driving in the early morning due to potential fog.
