Granada Take the Lead as Asprilla Scores Three and Ceuta and Albacete Remain Pointless

Granada climbed to the top of LaLiga Hypermotion after overturning an early deficit to beat Córdoba 3-1. The result put them level on seven points with Leganés and Sporting de Gijón, although Monday’s matches could change the standings.

Córdoba scored after two minutes, but Granada responded in the second half. Bourama equalized in the 64th minute, before Jorge Pascual and Venezuela’s Alejandro Marques completed the comeback late in the match.

Leganés stayed close after Miguel Atienza scored in the 90th minute to secure a 1-0 victory over Eldense. Álvaro Morata watched from the stands as the Madrid club prepared for a demanding trip to Las Palmas next Friday. Sporting also claimed a narrow win, beating Tenerife 1-0 through Argentine forward Alejo Sarco, who joined on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

Mallorca returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Ceuta, who have yet to collect a point this season. Albacete are also still pointless after losing 1-0 to Oviedo, whose first victory since returning to LaLiga Hypermotion came through Pablo Sáenz’s goal before halftime.

Girona also opened its account with a 5-2 win over Las Palmas, who had led the division before the visit to Montilivi. Jastin, Fran Beltrán, Asprilla and Izan scored for Girona, with Asprilla finding the net twice. The 22-year-old Colombian, back after a six-month loan at Galatasaray, leads the scoring chart with three goals.
