Greece announces 2026 Panhellenic Exam schedule

Greece is gearing up for the 2026 Panhellenic Exams, the crucial university entrance examinations for high school students. The exams are set to commence on Friday, May 29, with candidates from General High Schools (GEL) facing their first test in Modern Greek Language and Literature.

Following the initial exams, students will tackle subjects based on their chosen orientation groups. Ancient Greek, Mathematics, and Biology exams are scheduled for June 3. Two days later, on June 5, students will be tested in Latin, Chemistry, and Informatics. The GEL exams will conclude on June 8 with tests in History, Physics, and Economics.

For students in Vocational High Schools (EPAL), the examination period begins on May 30 with Modern Greek. Mathematics (Algebra) follows on June 2. The specialized subject exams for EPAL students are slated to take place from June 4 to June 15.

In addition to the main exams, candidates applying for specialized fields and the Physical Education and Sports University (TEFAA) will undergo their respective assessments. Special subject exams are scheduled from June 16 to June 25, while the health and practical tests for TEFAA hopefuls will run from June 15 to June 26.
