Greek Universities Open Online Registrations for First-Year Students

First-year students in Greece can now complete their university registrations entirely online, marking a shift towards digital administrative processes in higher education. The Ministry of Education has opened its electronic registration system, allowing successful candidates from the 2026 Panhellenic Examinations to enroll in their chosen institutions.

The registration period began on Thursday, August 27, 2026, and will conclude on Friday, September 4, 2026. All enrollments must be processed through the dedicated e-register platform, accessible at https://eregister.it.minedu.gov.gr. To access the system, students need to use their 8-digit candidate exam code as their username and the same password they used for their university application choices.

For students who may have forgotten or lost their login credentials, the platform provides a mechanism to reset their password. This process requires the candidate's 8-digit code and the email address registered in their application. Additionally, starting September 1, 2026, schools will offer support to students encountering difficulties with the online registration system, ensuring a smoother transition for new entrants.
