Police are investigating a grenade attack on a Japanika sushi restaurant under construction in Hadera, the latest in a string of incidents targeting the chain owned by businessman Barak Abramov. The attack occurred early Sunday morning at the new Aura residential complex.

No injuries were reported, but the incident caused damage to a storefront bearing Japanika signs. This event follows several days of attacks on various Japanika branches across Israel, including grenade and pipe bomb incidents, and shootings, all resulting in property damage.

Authorities suspect these attacks are linked to an escalating conflict between the Musli and Jarushi criminal organizations. Sources indicate that Abramov is perceived as being affiliated with the Jarushi family, making the Japanika chain a target for elements connected to the Musli organization.

The motive for this escalating conflict is believed to be a dispute involving tens of millions of dollars in cryptocurrency. While Abramov is not a suspect in the attacks, his perceived association has placed his businesses in the line of fire.
