Gus Kikin Ready to Run for PBNU Chairman, Championing 'Qanun Asasi'

KH Abdul Hakim Mahfudz, widely known as Gus Kikin, has announced his intention to compete for the position of General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU). This declaration follows a significant endorsement and assignment from the Regional Leadership of Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) in East Java, signaling strong backing for his candidacy.

Gus Kikin stated that if elected, his primary mission would be to re-establish and reinforce the "Qanun Asasi." He believes its principles are crucial for guiding NU's future.

His recent visit to Makassar included meetings with hundreds of NU cadres from South and West Sulawesi. During these gatherings, Gus Kikin not only engaged in strengthening ties but also introduced the "Qanun Asasi" book, emphasizing its historical importance as a foundational guideline for NU. He expressed a desire for the values enshrined within this document to be reintegrated into the daily operations and life of the organization.
