Ha Duc Chinh scores just before the National First Division ends

Striker Ha Duc Chinh finally broke his scoring drought, netting a goal for Bac Ninh FC in their 1-3 defeat against Tre PVF-CAND on June 6. The goal, a header in the 71st minute from a free-kick, was Chinh's first since joining Bac Ninh FC in the Vietnam National First Division in August 2025.

This strike also ends a personal scoring drought of over a year across all professional Vietnamese football leagues. His last recorded goal was for Binh Duong in the V-League on May 3, 2025. Despite his national team status and years in the V-League, Chinh has struggled for consistent playing time and impact, often starting from the bench and failing to compete effectively with other forwards.

Once a highly-rated prospect for the U23 Vietnam team that achieved success in the 2018 U23 Asian Cup, 2018 AFF Cup, and 2019 SEA Games, Ha Duc Chinh's career has significantly stalled compared to his peers. He has contributed minimally to his teams' goal tallies in recent V-League seasons, typically scoring only one or two goals per season.

Chinh has not featured for the senior Vietnam national team since the Park Hang Seo era. Now playing in the First Division with Bac Ninh FC, he aimed to revive his career and help the team gain promotion. However, his contributions have been largely unremarkable throughout the season. The team now faces a promotion playoff on June 12 against a V-League opponent.
