Hajj 2027: Kano pilgrims board sets deadline for passport submission

Intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj in Kano State must submit their valid international passports by August 7, according to a directive from the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board. The submission window opened on August 3, initiating the crucial documentation and administrative processes necessary for the upcoming pilgrimage.

Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, the Director-General of the board, emphasized the importance of early passport submission. He stated that this is essential for ensuring that travel documents are processed on time and that all deadlines set by relevant authorities are met. The board is committed to facilitating a seamless Hajj experience for all pilgrims.

The submission commenced on Aug. 3 to enable the board to begin documentation and other administrative processes required for the 2027 Hajj exercise.

The board's Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Dederi, issued the statement on Tuesday in Kano, urging all registered pilgrims to adhere to the stipulated period. Cooperation from the pilgrims throughout the preparation phase is highly encouraged to ensure the success of the operation.
