Hakan Safi Slams Aziz Yıldırım: 'Which Statement is True, Mr. President?'

Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Hakan Safi launched a sharp attack on rival Aziz Yıldırım, accusing him of inconsistency and misleading supporters. Safi detailed numerous instances where Yıldırım's statements on key club issues appeared to contradict each other.

During a campaign event in Ankara, Safi pointed to Yıldırım's evolving positions on stadium development, financial fair play regulations, and his own eligibility for the presidency. "You said you were coming for one year, then you said you were just saying it," Safi stated, questioning the sincerity of Yıldırım's commitments. He also highlighted Yıldırım's past declarations about not running again, only to seek the presidency later.

Safi specifically challenged Yıldırım's claims about Fenerbahçe's financial situation and past championship wins. He disputed Yıldırım's assertion that the club faced UEFA penalties due to the Kerem Aktürkoğlu transfer, attributing potential sanctions to limit breaches. Safi also contested Yıldırım's narrative about past championship successes, reminding him of his own tenure as a club executive during periods without titles.

The candidate further criticized Yıldırım's campaign rhetoric, particularly regarding Galatasaray's championship streak and the club's financial management. Safi vowed to prevent the club from falling into the hands of those he described as having "kurgulu limit hesaplari" (calculated limit calculations) that allegedly hindered player acquisitions in the past.
