Hana Moll vaults to personal best of 4.90m in Zurich Diamond League

American pole vaulter Hana Moll, aged 21, achieved a remarkable personal best of 4.90 meters at a high-caliber pole vault competition in Zurich. This event served as a "false start" to the main Diamond League program, which is scheduled for the following day.

The competition was uniquely held at Zurich's main train station, drawing an impressive crowd of approximately three thousand spectators. Moll described the atmosphere as "the most incredible audience" she had ever encountered, adding a special feeling to her record-breaking performance.

Moll's victory was hard-won, as she initially struggled with heights, clearing 4.50m and 4.65m only on her third attempts. However, she found her rhythm and ultimately soared to a new personal best, surpassing her previous record.

Other notable performances included Switzerland's Angelica Moser, who took second place with a vault of 4.85 meters. Americans Katie Moon and Sandi Morris shared third place, both clearing 4.75 meters, as did Slovenia's Tina Sutej and New Zealand's Imogen Ayris, though they ranked lower due to fewer failed attempts.
