Hayden Panettiere's plans before death included reuniting with daughter, celebrating with co-stars

Actress Hayden Panettiere, who passed away on August 16, had made plans to celebrate her upcoming 37th birthday with loved ones. A key part of these plans included reuniting with her 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, in Europe.

Panettiere was also looking forward to celebrating with former "Nashville" castmates in South Carolina. Sylvia Jefferies, a co-star, shared that they had intended to surprise Panettiere during a visit to Greenville, where they planned to attend a concert by another "Nashville" alum, Charles Esten. "We were going to try to surprise her because it was my birthday and, of course, her birthday is on Friday... But that didn't happen," Jefferies told Page Six.

Panettiere was found unresponsive in a Greenville apartment on August 16. Her on-again, off-again partner, Brian Hickerson, was present at the time. The circumstances surrounding her death are still under investigation. An emergency call mentioned a possible overdose, and Narcan was reportedly administered. The official cause of death has not yet been determined, pending toxicology reports. Autopsy results did not reveal any signs of trauma.
