Common offerings include sticky rice cakes, dried longan (symbolizing "complete fortune"), paper effigies for transferring bad luck, fruits, cookies, and longevity noodles. Peeling the longan shell is said to represent shedding bad luck, and eating the fruit signifies a complete and fortunate outcome.

As it marks the first significant opportunity to make wishes to the Heavenly Grandfather in the second half of the year, sincere prayers are believed to be particularly effective.
