Heidi Klum's 'HeidiFest' Moves from ProSieben to RTL

Heidi Klum's "HeidiFest," a celebration of Oktoberfest featuring celebrities and German traditions, is moving from ProSieben to RTL. The show struggled with ratings on ProSieben last year, particularly when compared to Klum's "Germany's Next Topmodel."

ProSieben announced the cancellation of "HeidiFest" for this year, but RTL quickly stepped in, acquiring the broadcast license. The move was reported by "Bild" newspaper, where Klum, who splits her time between Germany and the U.S., described the show as a way to share German culture, food, and music with her American friends.

Last year's "HeidiFest" featured performances by Howard Carpendale, Roberto Blanco, and the Wildecker Herzbuben. Details about this year's guests are not yet known. RTL's decision to pick up the show is seen by some as a desperate attempt to improve ratings, especially after they revived the ProSieben show "Turmspringen."
