Hertha BSC reportedly finds new left-back from Bundesliga

Second-division football club Hertha BSC is reportedly on the verge of signing a new left-back, Mads Pedersen, from Bundesliga team FC Augsburg. German media outlets "Bild" and Sky reported the impending transfer.

Pedersen, a 29-year-old Danish player, is expected to undergo his medical examination in Berlin on Monday. The transfer fee is reported to be in the low six figures. Since joining FCA in 2019, Pedersen has played 120 competitive matches for the club. However, recent injuries have limited his playing time, making him a potential target for Hertha.

Hertha BSC has seen numerous key players leave the squad before the current season, creating a need to fill gaps. The club has already secured the loan of offensive players Oluwaseun Adewumi and Farid Alfa-Ruprecht. The potential signing of Pedersen would address a defensive need, and the club is reportedly still searching for a center forward.
