High-value Pokémon cards stolen from Vancouver collectibles store

Vancouver police are investigating a brazen overnight theft at the Royal Card Shop and Collectibles, where high-value Pokémon cards were stolen. The incident occurred early Monday morning at the store located on Dunbar Street.

Officers responded to the scene shortly before 3 a.m. and discovered that the business's rear door had been forced open. The safe containing the valuable trading cards had been removed from the premises.

Surveillance footage obtained by investigators reveals the modus operandi of the thieves. The video shows two masked individuals breaking into the store. They then utilized a truck, which was later found to be stolen, to rope and drag the safe out of the building.

The stolen vehicle was recovered later that morning in Surrey, found abandoned and still running. It has since been transported to the Vancouver Police Department's property garage for forensic analysis. Both suspects are described as white men wearing all-black clothing.
