Hirving Lozano loaned to LA Galaxy from San Diego FC

Mexican international Hirving "Chucky" Lozano is heading to the Los Angeles Galaxy on loan from San Diego FC, with the deal set to run until December 2026. The move comes after Lozano found himself on the sidelines due to internal team tensions during San Diego FC's inaugural MLS season.

San Diego FC's sporting director, Tyler Heaps, stated that the club worked with Lozano and his representatives to secure an opportunity that would allow him to return to regular play. "We appreciate his contributions during our record inaugural season and wish him the best as he continues his career," Heaps added, confirming the club's gratitude for his efforts.

The loan agreement includes an option for the Galaxy to purchase Lozano's contract permanently. During his tenure with San Diego FC, Lozano participated in 34 matches across all competitions, contributing 11 goals and nine assists. His performance was part of the team's successful first season, which saw them reach the Western Conference final in 2025.
