History Meets Nature: TrekTours and Columbia Invite to a Walking Rally in Modlin Fortress

TrekTours is hosting a walking rally at Modlin Fortress, highlighting the event's focus on experience, history, and nature rather than just competition. The fortress, one of Europe's largest, offers a unique setting for exploration on foot, revealing its scale and changing perspectives.

The rally encourages participants to discover not only the monumental fortifications but also the picturesque valleys of the Narew and Vistula rivers, and lesser-known areas around Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. The routes are designed to immerse participants in the region's character and the historical allure of Modlin Fortress, which has captivated generations for over two centuries.

Four distinct walking routes are available, catering to different fitness levels and preferences, including a 5 km "Walk Through the Ages" ideal for families, a 14 km "Along Europe's Longest Walls" for a broader perspective, a 25 km "Three Rivers Trail" exploring diverse landscapes and the confluence of the Wkra and Narew rivers, and a challenging 37 km "Great Expedition" that ventures beyond the fortress walls for expansive views.

Dogs are welcome on all routes, and participants who choose routes over 20 km will receive a complimentary Columbia hat. The event is open to both seasoned hikers and beginners, offering an active way to spend a day solo, with family, or friends.
