Ho Chi Minh City Chairman: Synchronized Infrastructure Investment Will Change the Face of the Hóc Môn Area

Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Nguyen Van Duong emphasized the need for synchronized infrastructure investment to transform the Hóc Môn district during a meeting with local constituents.

During the gathering, residents of Xuân Thới Sơn, Hóc Môn, and Bà Điểm communes voiced their opinions and concerns. A significant point of discussion was the establishment of the city's new Food Safety Department. Voters expressed strong approval and enthusiasm for this specialized agency, seeing it as a crucial step towards ensuring the safety of food supplies, particularly given Hóc Môn's role as a major agricultural and food market.

Chairman Duong acknowledged the active participation of the voters and assured them that their feedback would be addressed. He highlighted that issues falling under the purview of local communes were directly answered by commune leaders. For matters concerning city-level departments, the head of the City People's Committee Office provided clear information. Duong committed to forwarding specific departmental issues to the relevant authorities for further review and integration into the city's development plans.

The chairman also addressed broader concerns raised by constituents, including urban planning, transportation, digital infrastructure, drainage systems, drug abuse, school violence, and social policies. He specifically noted the request for the drafting of a special urban law to facilitate the city's development, promising that the city would consider these inputs to better serve the three communes and enhance the overall development of Hóc Môn.
