Ho Chi Minh City Exhibition Celebrates Vietnam's History and Landscapes

Ho Chi Minh City is alive with cultural and political significance as it opens a major photo exhibition on its pedestrian street, Nguyen Hue. The event, jointly organized by the Central Propaganda and Mobilization Department, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and related agencies, aims to celebrate several momentous occasions: the 51st anniversary of national reunification, the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day, the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, and the 115th anniversary of his departure to seek a path for national salvation.

The exhibition, running from April 23 to May 12, features two main components. "Vietnam - A Strip of Mountains and Rivers" presents 153 selected works from national photography contests, capturing the beauty of Vietnam's landscapes, people, and culture from border highlands to coastal islands. This section aims to promote a peaceful, friendly, cooperative, and developing image of Vietnam to the international community, enhancing foreign information and public diplomacy efforts.

Complementing this is "Ho Chi Minh City Forever Echoes the Song of Victory," which displays 100 black and white and color photographs. These images vividly recount the heroic struggle of the Southern Vietnamese people and army during the war against the United States, highlighting the sacrifices, national unity under the Communist Party of Vietnam's leadership, unwavering faith in Ho Chi Minh, and significant international support. The exhibition also portrays Ho Chi Minh City's modern development, showcasing its dynamism, innovation, and ambition to become a leading center in Southeast Asia.
