Ho Chi Minh City legal center launches 'Lawyer Bridge' platform, discusses AI's impact

A legal consultation center in Ho Chi Minh City launched its new 'Lawyer Bridge' platform on August 22, coinciding with a seminar on the impact of artificial intelligence on the legal profession. The center, part of the Vietnam Bar Association, aims for the platform to become a trusted legal connection hub.

Artificial intelligence is no longer a story of the future. AI is present in life, strongly changing how people learn, work, and make decisions, and the legal profession is not outside this change.

Lawyer Dang Dinh Thinh, director of the center and founder of the platform, emphasized that artificial intelligence is no longer a future concept but a present reality reshaping how people work and make decisions, including in the legal field. He noted AI's potential to speed up information retrieval, improve case processing, and reduce repetitive tasks.

However, Thinh also cautioned about AI's limitations, stating that while it can provide rapid answers, they may not always be accurate. He stressed that AI cannot replace human judgment, integrity, and responsibility. "Behind every case are not just legal clauses, but also the rights, honor, and sometimes the fate of a person," Thinh said. "AI does not diminish the role of lawyers, but forces lawyers to elevate their role."

The 'Lawyer Bridge' platform is designed to help people find the right information and legal experts, while enabling capable and dedicated lawyers to establish their professional credibility. The ultimate measure of technological advancement, Thinh concluded, should be whether people can access the law more easily, receive better protection, and have greater trust in justice.
