Ho Chi Minh City Lottery spreads solidarity through practical support

Ho Chi Minh City Lottery is turning expressions of gratitude into direct support, combining visits to families of war heroes with medical assistance, housing help and other welfare programs.

In July 2026, ahead of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, the company organized activities to honor people who had contributed to the country. Its youth union and workplace trade union visited policy families in Phú Lợi Ward, gave them gifts and held a flower and incense ceremony at the Phú Lợi Prison historical site.

The delegation then visited Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, as well as families of fallen soldiers and wounded veterans facing hardship or illness. The company said the visits were intended to express gratitude while addressing the current needs of those families.

Health care is another focus. To mark the 50th anniversary of the city of Sài Gòn-Gia Định officially taking President Hồ Chí Minh’s name, the company provided 1 billion dong for heart surgery for children with congenital heart disease from disadvantaged backgrounds. The funding is intended to help families meet treatment costs and enable children to receive necessary intervention sooner.

The heart-surgery program forms part of the company’s social welfare work during the first six months of 2026, which totaled 20.24 billion dong. The funding also covered health care, scholarships, housing assistance and health insurance cards. On April 21, the company gave 960 million dong to the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Support of Poor Patients for Phaco eye surgery and soft-lens implants for 600 patients.
