Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No. 4 core section to break ground Sept. 2

Construction of the core section of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road No. 4 project is scheduled to commence on September 2, according to the city's Department of Construction. This significant infrastructure development aims to enhance connectivity and facilitate economic growth in Vietnam's southern economic hub. Local authorities have made substantial progress in land acquisition, with 30-50% of the required land already handed over to project contractors. This ensures the necessary conditions are met for the construction to begin on schedule. The project, approved by the National Assembly in June 2025, involves multiple components, with investment plans for five sub-projects already finalized. Several sections of the ring road are already taking shape. For instance, the section passing through Binh Duong province, which began construction on June 18, 2025, will feature an 8-lane expressway designed for speeds of 100 km/h. Some segments, like the one near VSIP 2A Industrial Park, will be upgraded to a 10-lane, 62-meter-wide expressway, complete with interchanges and parallel roads to ensure smooth traffic flow and regional connectivity. The project is being developed through public-private partnerships, with the consortium of Becamex Group and Deo Ca Group winning the bid for the Binh Duong section. Both the consortium and the Ho Chi Minh City Management Board for Investment and Construction of Traffic Projects are actively preparing for the upcoming groundbreaking ceremony. Localities like Binh Co ward in Ho Chi Minh City are also advancing land compensation and handover processes. The 5.4 km stretch within Binh Co ward has seen 194 out of 256 cases compensated, with 11.21 hectares of land cleared for construction. This coordinated effort across multiple provinces, including Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Tay Ninh, underscores the project's importance for regional development.
