Home searched after parents murdered in Monterrey; victim's son arrested

Authorities in Monterrey, Nuevo León, are investigating a double homicide after a 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the deaths of his parents. The suspect, identified as Jesucristo Manuel, was taken into custody after allegedly attempting to steal a car and assaulting its owner in a separate incident.

Investigators from the Nuevo León Prosecutor's Office conducted a search of the family's home in the Colonia Ferrocarrilera neighborhood. The victims, a man and a woman, were found dead on Sunday with apparent gunshot wounds. The search aimed to gather evidence that could clarify the circumstances of the attack.

Preliminary investigations suggest the suspect fled the family residence in a gray Dodge RAM 700 pickup truck after shooting his parents. His sister was reportedly injured during the incident. The evidence collected during the search will be added to the case file as authorities continue their investigation to determine how the double homicide occurred and establish the detained individual's responsibility.
