Homemade Bomb Kills Three Outside Moscow Restaurant

An explosion outside a Moscow restaurant on Saturday night killed at least three people, including the suspected bomber, according to Russian authorities. The blast occurred at the entrance of the establishment on Kudrinskaya Square when a woman carrying a homemade explosive device attempted to enter.

A security guard reportedly stopped the woman, leading to the detonation of the device. The explosion killed the woman, the guard, and a restaurant patron. At least 21 other individuals sustained injuries in the blast, which occurred shortly before 8 p.m. local time.

Law enforcement officers sealed off the area and initiated an investigation into the incident. Authorities have not yet identified any individuals believed to be responsible for the attack. The restaurant's website indicated it was closed for a private event on Saturday.
