The HONOR Watch 6 arrives with a clear pitch: its 980 mAh battery is meant to make charging less of a constant concern. HONOR claims the smartwatch can last up to 35 days in standby mode, a figure that immediately becomes one of its most eye-catching features.

Daily use with Bluetooth lowers the estimate to up to 17 days. For outdoor activities, HONOR says the watch can deliver up to 42 hours with GPS operating independently. Those numbers are promising, especially for a category where frequent trips to the charger can shape the entire experience.

Real-world use will decide how close the claims come to reality. Active functions, screen brightness, GPS, notifications and continuous health monitoring can all change battery life substantially. Even so, the battery capacity places endurance at the center of the Watch 6’s appeal.

HONOR is also targeting users who want more than basic calorie and heart-rate tracking. Its professional football mode records speed and distance during a session, then provides maximum sprint speed, average speed and workout segments. It can also create a heat map and route record, helping users examine where they moved on the field and how they distributed their effort.

For hikers, the watch offers a 3D distance feature. Rather than measuring only distance across a flat plane, the algorithm also takes elevation changes into account. The Watch 6 further includes more than 120 sports modes, health-monitoring tools and a screen that promises brightness of up to 3,000 nits.
