Hotman Paris Resigns as Lawyer for Febrie Adriansyah Citing Health Issues

Prominent Indonesian lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea has announced his resignation from representing former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah in a corruption and money laundering case. The announcement came on Thursday, July 23.

Hutapea, who appeared in a wheelchair, explained that his decision was prompted by deteriorating health. He suffers from a severe pinched nerve, medically known as Hernia Nukleus Pulposus (HNP), which causes significant pain in his lower back.

Despite these efforts, the pain persists, leading to his decision to step back from the high-profile case.
