How to check whether you were selected as a polling-station worker for Ecuador’s sectional elections

Ecuador’s National Electoral Council has opened a portal where citizens can check whether they were selected to serve on a polling board for the 2026 sectional elections and the CPCCS election.

The council selected 288,949 people on September 2. Of them, 285,509 are registered in Ecuador and 3,440 live abroad. The members of the Voting Reception Boards will receive ballots, oversee voting and carry out the count on November 29, 2026.

To check the result, citizens must enter the CNE electoral-register consultation portal, provide their identity-card number and birth date, complete the security check and press “Consult.” The same service is available through the CNE website and its official mobile application.

The selection took place simultaneously in Ecuador’s 24 provincial electoral boards and the special board for citizens abroad, with public notaries present. The CNE prioritized higher-education students, private-sector employees and public servants with professional degrees, employees and public servants who completed secondary school, high-school students, rural residents and people included in the electoral register.

About 80% of those selected are university students. The notification process will run from September 4 to November 4, 2026. Mandatory in-person training starts on September 7 and continues through November 29, covering how to install the polling board, distribute ballots and voting certificates, complete official records and conduct the count.
